Ideas for the questions in my surveys

In my documentary due to the topic being sensitive I would like to complete my own research in which the candidates will appear anonymous. I believe this will provide a much stronger meaning and reinforce real statistics rather than statistics found on the internet. I aim to create a survey that any male individual can participate if they wish; I then want to compare these results with each other and see if there are trends which become macro or micro. I am not quite sure yet if I want to make the samples micro but more detailed, or macro and less detailed. I believe it would be better if I made the sample on the survey macro and then I can conclude an interview with a participant which focuses in more detail on the topic.

I am also considering doing a survey for females, in which they state their beliefs into the terrible topic of male suicide. I feel like this would be beneficial to spread awareness to people. I have thought of numerous examples which I may use in my survey such as:

What is your age?

Over the past year have you experienced any symptoms of depression or anxiety?

Have you ever had any suicidal thoughts? If so did you receive any help for this problem?

Do you truly believe there is a crisis within male mental health?

Are you aware of any mens suicide/mental health help services?

Have you had mental health problems? If so did you receive any treatment?

Do you feel as if you can't open up?

In your own words, what can be done to help this problem?

I would like to ask some more questions but for now, I think this is a good base and I can expand if I want to go more depth in this. If I were to do a separate survey for females to compare results I wouldn't ask the same questions. These are some questions that I have been thinking of for the separate survey:

What is your age?

Were you aware that 3/4 of suicides in the UK are male?

Why do you think the statistic is so high?

Do you think there is a stigma around mens mental health about not opening up?
If so do you think this stigma is reducing?

Have you seen more awareness for mens mental health recently?

Of course this is a very sensitive subject so I completely understand people may want to be anonymous in this survey or people who may not want to take part in it at all. However I just feel like it would be more sensible and valid if I conducted my own research. I would use survey monkey to conduct the surveys.

Analysis of establishing shots

Today I decided to analyze the establishing shots from Panorama 'Is the cloud damaging our planet'. I really liked the idea of establishing shots that were used in this documentary. In my documentary, I would like there to be a significant focus on establishing shots of scenery. This is due to the reason that I really enjoy using establishing shots in my productions and really enjoy filming them. I believe establishing shots helps to bring a product together, by setting the overall tone, scene, and emotional state of the film. For example, my topic is quite sensitive but I believe if there is a calming establishing shot such as a sunset, it helps to completely calm the setting of the product. Overall, this is the first establishing shot that really stuck out to me, I really like the use of the ide shot within it to show the whole setting. This is the sort of style of establishing shot that I would wish to create. I believe it really creates a sense of calm among the audience. ...
