An interview technique I may try in my interviews for my final task

Today I reviewed Panorama by BBC and during the episode 'is the cloud damaging the planet', I found an extremely odd yet interesting interview technique. This technique consisted of an over-the-shoulder shot from the interviewee, to show the interviewer's reaction and facial expressions to the responses to the questions. I have taken a still to analyze.

I found this technique extremely interesting as it is not often shown, usually, all focus is on the interviewee, however, this is definitely an interview technique that I will consider in my final task.

I feel as if this interview technique would really work in my second interview, in particular as I will be talking about the solutions to mental health. I believe it really helps the audience to picture the emotion in the image.

I deliberately placed the interviewee off the center to make it feel more like a conversation, creating an open atmosphere for the interview. I also believe that during the later stages of my preliminary task, I really hit my target of the kind of topics that I want to discuss and raise awareness for in my interview; such as the struggle of loneliness for young men. I also feel as if some of my interviews didn't really correlate to my topic as much as I would like them to have. What have I learned/ what will I do in my final task differently? In my final draft, I will continue the idea of...

Establishing shot draft

Today I filmed some draft footage for my main task, I really like the shot that I took and I believe it will work really well in my documentary. However, this is only a draft so I plan to do a lot more establishing shots.
