Plan for the questions in my first interview for my Final Task

My first interview in my final task will be on subject 1 (Alexei) in which I plan to change some of the questions to suit my topic more. I want to keep the idea of him moving out and the topic of loneliness as I believe it directly correlates to my topic, however, I want to cut the stuff about the past. It will make my final interview more heartfelt.

Therefore I have planned to change some of the questions in my interview, but this is only a plan of the questions, later in the week I will post a blog confirming my final questions in the interview. My first ideas for the questions that I will be asking will conduct the following:

How has the whole process of moving out been for you?

What is a loneliness to you?

Are you lonely?

I believe by cutting the questions much shorter will have a far greater impact on my documentary. I believe that these questions are perfectly correlated with my topic, and will provide a good structure for the start of my documentary.

However, these are only a plan so far and I will be constantly thinking of different ideas that I can use in my interviews. I have cut down the number of questions to 3 as I would rather be there before focusing on the topic of loneliness rather than, have more questions but less focus on each individual topic.

Additionally, I may also not choose to go down the path of loneliness, but instead the path of depression among men. A few examples of the questions I would ask for this topic would be...

Has moving out caused your depression?

How have you challenged this depression?

It is worth mentioning that I am more inclined to do the set of questions about loneliness, as I already know I will receive the answers that I want.

Final task: set questions for my first interview

Preliminary task: reflection and evaluation

What went well? In my preliminary task, I believe there were many things that went well, one being the positioning of my interviewee. I deliberately placed the interviewee off the center to make it feel more like a conversation, creating an open atmosphere for the interview. I also believe that during the later stages of my preliminary task, I really hit my target of the kind of topics that I want to discuss and raise awareness for in my interview; such as the struggle of loneliness for young men. What didn't go so well? I believe the technical side of my interview wasn't as sophisticated as I would like it to be, this is mainly down to time constraints, as I am a boarder at college, and I only have limited time to film with people outside of college. I also feel as if some of my interviews didn't really correlate to my topic as much as I would like them to have. What have I learned/ what will I do in my final task differently? In my final draft, I will continue the idea of...
